April Showers, April Flowers [Picture Heavy]

"April showers bring May flowers."

With the kind of weather we've been having, I don't know if that saying will ever be true anymore. What I do know though, is that beauty is still everywhere. We need to appreciate the world around us while we still have it.

We went to downtown DC over the weekend to check out the 100th year celebration of the gifting of the cherry blossom trees to the US. The peak of the celebration was scheduled then and so it was extra crazy but I was excited to be able to bring my sister-in-law (who's from the Philippines) to see what the whole thing was like. 

Here's a few pictures to share if you haven't or will not get to see the cherry blossoms downtown.

So I've decided to try (for the nth time) to do the Photo A Day Challenge hosted by Chantelle from Fat Mum Slim. I missed the first few days since I was waiting for my new phone and I have the crappiest phone camera before that so I started on Day 5.

So far, so good. I even got Aldene(@mercium) to join in too.
